Absolutely delicious Brisket Sandwich, grilled on thick, fresh bread & it was HUGE!!! Well worth the money! We also had their coleslaw which was good too! While we were waiting, the guys behind the meat counter had us try their best selling meatballs in a brown, mushroom gravy...also DELICIOUS! My husband tasted the homemade liver worst which he said was delicious! Over all, if you're in the area, you must stop in here! The man behind the counter was super nice, we were served our food very quickly! The Ambiance was a chill vibe!
We found Meaty's by accident and OMG!! What a wonderful surprise! The brisket sandwich melts in your mouth! The sauces are great and you can mix your own concoction up. The coleslaw and Mac and cheese are deeelish! The place to eat at if you are in Bay City!

I found this absolutely deliciousness hidden between residences that you would not expect to find such tasty BBQ - especially in north Michigan! I had the brisket burger, which I could not finish because it was a whole lotta meat!!!! By the way, it was brisket on top of a whole burger. So come hungry. I definitely recommend checking this place out. They have been up for 15 years and I do not wonder why!!
The fabulous odor of BBQ strikes you quickly in the parking lot of Meaty's Roadhouse BBQ. We were drawn to the restaurant portion of the business, immediately. The menu had great options for ribs, chicken, pulled chicken, kielbasa, bratwurst, hot dogs, and a few other meats. The two sides we had were excellent; beans and broccoli salad. There are lots of good sauces abailable; my favorite was the ghost pepper sauce. The service in both the restaurant and the meat market were exceptional. Our food (ribs and half a chicken) were delivered quickly and hot. At the meat market, the owner made us a half pint of fresh ghost pepper sauce. It was a special request and he accomodated us with a smile. The ambiance is simple but comfortable decor. Lots of fun signs on the walls and the tables/benches were perfect for hands on food...dripping BBQ sauce....feast. Highly recommend Meaty's Roadhouse BBQ in Bay City, MI.
Another great meal at Meaty's Roadhouse. Lots to choose from at several price points from about $11 to $28. The Junior Sampler is my favorite with ribs, housemade Polish sausage, chicken and brisket. Includes your choice of a side. Enough for 2 to share or great leftovers for the next day. Eat outside at one of the many picnic tables or carry your food inside to the air conditioned dining room. Fast friendly service. Cash or cards.
We were in the area so (of course) I looked up on yelp the most recommended bbq place to try. I was happy to find this interesting (open air) restaurant. There are tables available to eat at but it seems most take their food to go like we did. They were comfortably busy, patiently waiting in line for our orders. I chose an entree that wasn't on the menu because I wanted the pulled pork and the brisket. They gave large portions of both with my choice of Mac n cheese and the baked beans (with meat in them). The Mac n cheese was bland but ok and same with the beans. My friend got the black and blue burger with added bacon and waffle fries. He, unfortunately, didn't like his burger as it was to well done and dry though I requested medium. I would go again but try different sides but he wouldn't go back at all. I'm still glad we tried them out
